Dear Abundant Life community,

We’re here, the last week of school.  And what a year it has been!  We’re so thankful that Jesus is on the throne.

This is a reminder that our last drop off day/official last day of school is Friday, June 5th.  We will also be having a socially distanced send off for the students during drop off hours.  Therefore, drop off will run as follows:

  • Grades K-5 should plan to drop off all textbooks, library books, etc. between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
  • Grades 6 and 7 should drop off materials between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
  • Grade 8 families, if at all possible, should plan to drop off at 12:30. For students and parents who feel comfortable, the MS staff would like to see the 8th grade students as a group, with appropriate social distancing in place, at 12:30. Masks are required. We understand that this time may not be convenient for every 8th grade family, and if that is the case, please plan to arrive at your convenience between 10:00 and 1:00.

When you arrive, the teachers will be parked with the backs of their cars facing the middle aisle of the parking lot.  Please drive down the center aisle, windows down, allowing your children to see and speak to their teachers. Students MUST remain in their cars.  Then please pull up in front of the school entrance as you would for carpool. An adult may bring in all materials being returned and pick up students’ personal belongings and yearbooks in the cafeteria.  **Please note that as in the past, students will not be able to enter the building and masks must be worn. Parents will be buzzed into the building one at a time as on other exchange days.

Items to be returned on June 5th are textbooks, all library books, borrowed technology, and any classroom items/books as communicated by the classroom teachers.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions about our last day and drop off.  I look forward to seeing you all and wishing you a happy summer!

Blessings,
Dr. Jones
